Great column, and a great -- but sad -- story. The way things are now, with ruthless monsters in control of America, she's right to fear leaving the country. Still, there's a chance we can remedy this, so I hope she keeps her head down, continues with her research and her life, and lets the husband go on his golf vacation -- they can always vacation somewhere within the borders later. Meanwhile, the resistance will grow in the months and years to come, and hopefully we'll be able to evict the traitors who currently occupy Washington DC.

Great story.

She's a citizen , with a passport right? So she has all the rights of every other legal citizen.

If so then her problem is how and where she gets her news not her citizenship.

I’m guessing that she gets her news from reliable sources, which suggest that if she were to leave, she might not be allowed to come back. I don’t think the problem is with her news sources. I think it’s with the sick and dangerous state of our affairs.

FYI, I'm no big fan of Miller but someone needs to begin cleaning up the incredibly expensive, sad mess created by people who received your vote

I wonder how the gal who worked damn hard to become a citizen feels about seeing her citizenship devalued.

I agree that immigration is a mess. My larger point is that demonizing non-white non-citizens for trying to make a better life in our country is anti-American, and betrays a fundamental lack of decency, and humanity. (And I’m not ascribing this to you, necessarily.) My guess is that three of the young men working on our property today are undocumented - and I would rather have them as members of my community than the obnoxious and snobbish white neighbors upstairs.

Just my two cents.

What sick and dangerous issues ? Only allowing legal entry? She should talk to DHS.

Simple.

Simple?

I don’t think DHS is particularly sympathetic to non-white people these days, regardless of their citizenship status. Again, it’s being cited in reliable news sources nearly every day. Stephen Miler’s worldview is aggressively white nationalist/supremacist. Yeah, if I were her, I’d be anxious about leaving and coming back. That’s a legitimate concern, and yes, I think it’s sick and dangerous.

It's abundantly clear to anyone with functioning eyes, ears, and a brain that DHS and ICE are actively hostile to anybody who isn't white. This is what tRump has brought us -- and it stinks.

So your position is DHS is going to what, lie to her?

Doubtful.

Sick and dangerous is allowing 20 million illegals to walk into this country.

Bye, Scott. Thanks for showing your true colors. Have fun kneeling at the altar of the aforementioned sick and depraved Stephen Miller. Res ipsa loquitur.

Thanks Mike. Can’t say I have heard them all, but I’ve listened to your podcast. (It was the sex one that piqued my interest.) You’re an inspiration.
