You just don't get it do you? All this coverage for a mayor who essentially said, "Little people. Follow my edicts." You can make all the excuses you want, C.W. In the thrall of the bureaucrats and inept health officials, we have let the authoritarians issue mandate after mandate without much thought towards risk / benefit analyses or the long term consequences of shuttered businesses, masked kindergarteners (Check out those psychological implication studies sometime), and bad data. Even the hippie haven, The Atlantic, has reported that hospitalizations due to Covid have been exaggerated by 36% to 57%, and yet here you are covering London Breed's enormous behind with excuse after excuse after excuse. I'd have more respect for Ms. Breed if she's just come out and admit the health "Threat" has been a political cudgel for 18 months now (We are on Day 540 of the 15 Day Initiative to Hashtag Flatten the Curve), and we need to get onto our lives without restrictions. And I checked the so-called data. Florida's case load and infection rate dropped below California's over a week ago. Looks like ya missed that one. But it doesn't fit the narrative, so why bother?
I've been worried about you since the 80s. There is PLENTY of data out there about data that has been manipulated. Again, read my entire comment (You must have time. I'm one of the few who writes to you.), the Atlantic of all publications, has one of their million word articles about the gerrymandering of numbers. It's telling. Also, San Francisco is a city. Florida is a state. Maybe take an on-line domestic geography course. Finally, cases are a direct function of testing. There are no controls over that, and you can pretty much say whatever you like about reports. Lots out there that show Florida is, at worst, on a par with CALIFORNIA (The state, not the city) in terms of infection rates, hospitalizations, and deaths. The upside to open states is their schools, businesses, and people appear to be returning more quickly to 2019. You should be pushing for that and stop wearing your mask in the pool.

You think Florida's case load and infection rate is below SF's? I'm worried about you George.
