You didn't include the way they trashed Lowell using racism as justification. When one high school is singled out to generate the best and brightest the criteria for acceptance is grades not race. If they want to work on the achievement imbalance between whites and pupils of color then work on the curriculum of decently integrated schools. Making the high achieving students what would have gone to Lowell attend the racially integrated schools by putting lesser achievers into Lowell will not raise the boats of the underachievers. Intelligence is not increased by osmosis.
